Overview
Hive is Virtusa's internal enterprise automation platform built to streamline complex operational workflows using AI-assisted decision-making. I joined as AI-UX Lead to define the end-to-end UX strategy, integrate the design system, and lead cross-functional workshops that aligned product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
The challenge
Teams were operating across disconnected tools — manual handoffs, inconsistent UI patterns, and no unified intelligence layer. The platform needed a coherent UX strategy that could accommodate AI-driven automation without overwhelming users with complexity.
My role
Led UX strategy and design system integration. Facilitated discovery workshops, defined AI interaction patterns, designed intelligent dashboard flows, and produced high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder sign-off.
Process
Discover
Stakeholder interviews across 4 business units, heuristic audit of existing tools, competitive analysis of enterprise automation platforms.
Define
Synthesised findings into a UX strategy document. Defined AI interaction principles: transparency, progressive disclosure, and graceful fallback.
Design
Designed intelligent dashboard flows, AI automation trigger patterns, and a notification architecture. Aligned all components to the existing design system.
Prototype & Test
Built interactive prototypes in Figma. Ran 3 rounds of usability testing with internal users. Iterated on AI confidence indicators and error states.
Deliver
Produced annotated specs, a component extension guide, and a developer handoff package. Ran design QA through first release.
Outcomes & impact
40%
Reduction in task completion time for automated workflows
